This rock background comes in 2 sections. Due to the filter pipes located in the right corner of the tank, you may need to bend the pipes a bit. The structure of the 3D rock background is very irregular and we can't guarantee that you won't have any problems with fitting. The background should fit between the filter pipes and the glass.
The space from the glass to the front of the background in some points is between 3 to 6 cm. The background is made from poly-resin, which is safe for all aquatic life. Our backgrounds sink, it's not foam.
Installation is very easy, you only have to slide it inside your aquarium and the background will stay in place. The background is not flexible, you can't bend it, but you may trim it by using an angled grinder, hacksaw, Dremel
PLEASE NOTE: the main picture is only a sample image of this product. The item which you will receive may not be identical to the picture. Colour may vary, and can be slightly lighter or darker. It's hand-painted background and every item is unique.
We produce 3d rock backgrounds especially to fit Fluval Roma 240 tanks, so the filter pipes are not a problem. The background will fit between the glass and the filter pipes. It's a bad idea to cover the filter pipes with the background as it will limit the water circulation. In regards to placing the heater behind the background, it's possible to find a good spot behind the 3d background and keep the heater hidden. If you have good water circulation, good filter, the water temperature should be the same in the whole tank. You can also use a small internal filter head and install it close to the heater to push the warm water and increase the circulation in the whole tank.
