This rock background comes in 2 sections (2 halves). If you have original Juwel internal filter in the corner, you should remove it if you want to install 3D background. We recommend any good external filter, in this case with thin background there no space behind the background to fit the filter pipes. The pipes have to be in front of the background.
What you will get is 2 panels of background. Each panel dimensions are 85cm width by 52cm high. Thin background is only 10mm thick, and it's almost flat on the back. Looking at the side you won't see gaps between glass and background. It is recommended to silicone the thin background with a couple of silicone dots
The space from glass to front of background in most points is less than 1cm.
Background is made from poly-resin, which is safe for all aquatic life. Our backgrounds sink, it's not a foam.
Installation is very easy, you only have to slide it inside your aquarium and background will stay in place. The background is not flexible, you can't bend it, but you may trim it by using angled grinder, hacksaw, dremmel

IMPORTANT: All the backgrounds in this section of the website will fit Juwel Aquariums WITHOUT the original Juwel filter which sits in the corner. The background will cover the whole tank back wall and you should use any external filter.
