Attach the rhizome to wood, rocks or decor with cotton, fishing line, elastic bands etc.

In the correct conditions it will start to grow directly onto the surface.

If planting potted: plant the pot only, do not bury the rhizome of the plant or it will rot and die

This Anubias species enjoys a good flow of nutrient rich water and quite bright lighting for best results. In undesirable aquarium conditions the stems and rhizomes will rot and disintegrate. This rotting can be caused by specific issues to do with: too little lighting intensity and/or spectrum, temperature, flow around plant, nutrient availability, positioning in aquarium. Or a combination of these things. These may thrive in one area of you aquarium and die quickly in another, their success is affected by combinations of the conditions listed above.

CO2 is not essential but will certainly benefit this species.
